In addition to Secure-Z, Ambiq has bridged the gap between the growing NFC marketplace & applications and the availability of NFC-enabled phones by creating the Ambiq Passport™, a contactless, low-cost SIM overlay module designed to be added into existing mobile phones to enable NFC services. The Ambiq Passport is inserted into current mobile devices and interfaces with contactless NFC readers, point-of-sale (POS) terminals typically used for transportation, utility, retail and other payment systems, as well as wirelessly with service providers and the Ambiq TSM.
